Uttrang Kaur

Yogi Uttrang is a KRI yoga and meditation teacher and her classes are by donation.

Uttrang’s classes are easy for anyone to do no-matter what shape you are in. They include meditation and natural Ayurvedic remedies.

After having practiced Iyengar Yoga for a few years, she came into contact with Kundalini Yoga and immediately experienced the transformational power of this ‘Yoga of Awareness’.

Uttrang’s main yoga is in Sikh yoga Shabds (wise enlightening poetry from great yogis spanning many centuries) of Sikhism of which she has been a translator of for over five years. She is the author of 2 books.

She lives half the year in Anandpur Sahib, India and Nepal.

She studies mainly with Gurdwara Sheedhibarg in Anandpur Sahib, Punjab India and also Guru Nanak Math Nepal. She lived in the Golden Temple in Amritsar for a couple of years.

She has also been a student of many yoga linages from Shaivism and devotes of Vaishnava dharma along with Buddhist masters she was taught by as a child.

The Sikh Siri Guru Granth is her Guru.

 Uttrang is the founder of a local green charity 1Terra which regularly holds meditation walks in aid of tree planting as a karma yoga to off-set carbon foot prints.

Beginners welcome – an open and easy going class for anyone to join.

Uttrang is a KRI trained yoga teacher and she shares many teachings as taught by Yogi Bhajan in the traditional way. The Sikh Siri Guru Granth is her Guru so her classes to comply with the yogic rules of the Sikh Guru (Guru Ram Das was Yogi Bhajans teacher) are sometimes a little different to classical Kundallini yoga. She studied yoga with The Guru Nanak Math School of yoga who sit today where Guru Nanak taught.

A gentle class with mindful meditation and ‘growing up health wisdom ‘.

It is helpful for every teen to be armed with basic meditation and mindfulness tools along with body health care and yogic wisdom for making healthier food and life-style choices
